2021 Honda Clarity
Forward-Thinking Technology in a Mid-Size Family Sedan
The all-new 2021 Honda Clarity is equipped with advanced methods of propulsion thanks to the plug-in hybrid technology, wrapped nicely in a mid-size sedan model.
Safety features, smartphone integration, and dual-zone climate control are among a few of the reasons why so many young adults and growing families have their eye on the Honda Clarity.
Honda Clarity Interior
An 8-inch touchscreen infotainment center comes standard with the new Clarity. Its interface includes Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity keeping you connected to what’s important.
The mid-size sedan is equipped with two USB ports, an eight-speaker system, and satellite radio. Drivers who opt for the Touring trim level will find navigation has been integrated with the infotainment system.
It’s similar in size to the Accord, assuring you and your passengers will ride in comfort no matter the length of the journey. And with seating for five, there’s plenty of room for your friends or a growing family.
The Clarity offers 42 inches of legroom up front and 36 inches of legroom for the back row.
The mid-size sedan also offers more than 15 cubic feet of cargo space and the 60-40 rear seat split design that is desired by many.
2021 Clarity Performance & Battery Life
The eco-friendly sedan is equipped with a 1.5-liter I-4 electric motor, 17 kWh-ion battery, and a gasoline engine — allowing for the best of both worlds.
The plug-in hybrid has received an EPA-estimated electric-only driving range of 48 miles. This range expands to 340 miles when both the gas and electric power sources are utilized.
It can take approximately two and a half hours to charge the Clarity using a 240-volt source. But using a 120-volt source can need as many as 12 hours to recharge.
The 2021 Clarity is equipped with Honda Sensing®, a suite of driver-assistance technologies.
Included in the driver-assistance safety are systems like road departure mitigation, collision mitigation braking, lane keeping assist, traffic sign recognition, and adaptive cruise control.
Each of these systems were designed with you in mind.
Drivers will also benefit from the Honda LaneWatch™ system, which uses a camera in the passenger-side mirror to increase your field of view from 22 degrees to approximately 80 degrees.
To ease with switching lanes or turning, the camera’s image will appear when the right-turn signal is activated.
This safety feature can help you to see traffic, pedestrians, as well as objects on the passenger’s side of the road.
