Top Safety Rating Presented To 2016 Honda HR-V

HondaThe National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has presented the 2016 Honda HR-V with a 5-Star Overall Vehicle Score in their New Car Assessment Program (NCAP), giving this model the highest-possible safety rating that a vehicle can receive in the NCAP. Designed with Honda’s Advanced Compatibility Engineering™ (ACE™) body structure and an array of standard and available advanced safety and driver assist features this model has truly be built for safety.

“Using Honda’s packaging magic, powertrain innovation and safety engineering expertise, the HR-V delivers a high level of occupant safety protection along with class-leading fuel economy and interior space,” said Jeff Conrad, Honda Division senior vice president and general manager. “True to Honda’s commitment to the safety of all road users, the HR-V is designed to make the vehicle more compatible with other vehicles and to help to mitigate injuries to pedestrians in the event of a collision.”

Some of the available safety features on the 2016 Honda HR-V include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), Honda LaneWatch®, SmartVent® Front Side Airbags, Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) with Traction Control, Side Curtain Airbags with Rollover Sensor; dual-stage, multiple-threshold front airbags; and front side airbags, Hill Start Assist (HSA), Lower Anchors and Tethers for Children (LATCH), Expanded View Driver’s Mirror, Motion-Adaptive Electric Power Steering (EPS), Multi-Angle Rearview Camera with Guidelines and Anti-lock Braking System (ABS).
