IIHS Presents 2016 Honda Pilot With Top Safety Pick + Rating
The 2016 Honda Pilot has earned a Top Safety Pick + rating from the Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) for models that are equipped with the optional front crash prevention. In addition to having the optional system, it had to earn a SUPERIOR rating from the IIHS, and the vehicle had to earn no less than a GOOD rating in each of the IIHS crash tests including the small overlap frontal crash test.

Standard safety features on the 2016 Honda Pilot include Vehicle Stability Assist™ (VSA®) electronic stability control system, rearview cameras, Anti-lock Braking System (ABS) with Brake Assist, frontal airbags, side airbags, and side-curtain airbags.
An additional safety feature that is available on the EX and higher trim levels of the 2016 Honda Pilot is Honda Sensing™ which includes systems such as Road Departure Mitigation (RDM), Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC), Lane Keeping Assist System (LKAS), Collision Mitigation Braking System™ (CMBS™) with Forward Collision Warning (FCW), and Lane Departure Warning (LDW).
